PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: October 16, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Protector: Castle Defense ("we", "our", or "the Game") handles your information. We respect the privacy of our players. Our fundamental philosophy is simple: we do not collect, transmit, store, or sell your personal data.

2. Data Collection & Processing

Protector does not require user registration, accounts, email addresses, or social media logins.

  • We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, email, phone number, or precise location.
  • We do not track your activity across other applications or websites.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade any player data to third parties or data brokers.

3. Device Permissions

The application requests minimal permissions strictly necessary for game functionality:

  • Vibration (android.permission.VIBRATE): Used solely to provide tactile haptic feedback during in-game actions (e.g., placing structures, taking castle damage, or defeating boss monsters). You can disable vibration at any time in the in-game Settings menu.

4. Local Storage & Saved Progress

All your game progress — including highest wave reached, damage numbers toggle, audio volume preferences, and selected language — is stored locally on your device using Godot Engine's standard sandboxed application storage (user://). This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to any external server.

5. Third-Party Services & Analytics

Protector does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral trackers, or analytics software (such as Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or advertising networks).

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Families Policy)

The Game is designed for general audiences and is fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policies. Because we do not collect any personal data whatsoever, children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area) can safely play the game without privacy risks.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
